1. Introduction

LevelUpESL ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website at levelupesl.com. This policy explains what information we collect (very little), how we use it, and what rights you have. We've written it in plain English — no legalese.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. You can use LevelUpESL without creating an account, providing an email address, or identifying yourself in any way.

The only data stored is your quiz progress (XP earned, accuracy, best streak) — and it is saved exclusively in your own browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers.

3. Cookies

LevelUpESL itself does not set any tracking cookies.

Cloudflare (our hosting provider) may set technical cookies required for security, DDoS protection, and edge network performance. These are functional and do not track you for advertising purposes.

We may add Google AdSense in the future to support the site. If we do, Google may set cookies to show relevant ads. We will update this policy before enabling ads and will provide an opt-out mechanism where required by law.

4. Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are popular. This tool is privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not store personal data. It counts visits using anonymized, aggregated data only.

Because we don't collect personal data, there is very little to act on. But you have the right to:

  • Know what data is held about you — for us, that's nothing server-side.
  • Delete your local quiz progress at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data).
  • Opt out of any future analytics or advertising by using a browser extension that blocks trackers, or by adjusting your browser settings.

7. Children's Privacy

LevelUpESL is a general-audience educational site and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes — for example, adding advertising or new analytics tools — we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
